Bulb Companion
Plant Cool Wave Pansies along with bulbs in Autumn in an area that receives at least a half-day of full sun. Cultivate the soil and plant Daffodils, Crocus, Tulips, Hyacinths, etc., in your garden at the depth recommended on the bulbs’ packaging. You can then plant Cool Wave Pansies in front or amongst where the bulbs were planted. The Pansies will provide colour this season, and then both the Pansies and the Spring bulbs will burst into bloom together once Spring has arrived.
Mix It Up
Autumn Pansies can also be used to decorate planters, patio pots and window boxes. They will continue to bloom for many weeks. Remember to keep a few pots close to the house to enjoy their sweet fragrance. Cool Wave Pansies pair well with Mums, Ornamental Peppers, Celosia, Dianthus, Coreopsis, Lavender and Gaillardia.
Over Winter Success
Planted in your garden, not only will you enjoy your cheery Cool Wave Pansies through the end of the season, but they will also rebloom in the Spring and into early Summer. By the end of Winter, the foliage and stems may look a little brown and tattered, but fear not, they will produce fresh green growth once the weather warms in the Spring.
Whether planted in the ground or in pots, remember to keep the plants well-watered during sunny, dry weather. For continuous spreading colour, use liquid fertiliser at the time of planting and every two weeks before possible frost.
