Pink Pot Ambassador: May 2022
The Wave Crew  Wave Petunias | Cool Wave Pansies
Meet our May Pink Pot Ambassador -- @breauxhemianparadise! As a creative at heart, plants are his latest medium. With a BFA in Painting and Graphic Design, he left the advertising world to join his brothers in horticulture. After they opened a small garden center, he simply fell in love with plants!

Describe your garden.
I would describe my garden as bold, color-wise, and eccentric. If there is a plant I like, I find a space for it in my garden. It’s an evolving garden. Lots of annuals.

How have you used Wave Petunias or Cool Wave Pansies in your garden?
I use them in both containers and the ground. I’ve used Purple, Violet, Red Velour, Silver, Sky Blue and Denim Wave petunias, and I’ve used White and Sky Blue Cool Wave pansies. I’m hooked on the Tidal Wave series now. I love how huge they get.

What would you tell someone who has never heard about Wave Petunias?
Definitely give them a try! They make such a bold statement in the garden.

Your garden really does look like paradise! How do you decide what flowers to plant and where to plant them?
Thank you! It’s a mix between starting with a plan and having to find a place for the plants that I just couldn’t pass up. Ideas also change when I have my plant hauls together and find more striking combos than I had originally planned.

Who or what is your biggest inspiration for your garden?
The Instagram gardening community. Such wonderful people and so many different gardens.

We noticed you’ve used Cool Wave Pansies in your garden before. When is the best time to plant them in Louisiana? What are some of your favorite flowers to plant with them?
I like to plant my Cool Wave pansies in the November. They give me color through the Winter, and then really explode in the Spring. I’ve planted them with snapdragons, violas, petunias and dianthus.

Any pets?
No pets, but I do have bird feeders that keep my backyard full of action.
