5 Fun Themed Flower Planters
The Wave Crew  Wave Petunias | Cool Wave Pansies
1) Ombre Planter
You’ve heard of ombre hair, clothing, decor, and more… but have you heard of an ombre flower planter? With so many colors to choose from, Wave Petunias are the perfect flower to use in creating your trendy planter!

2) Tipping Pots
Create a unique display in the garden or on a balcony or patio by combining several clay or terracotta pots. Make hole in the bottom of the pots if they don’t already have drainage holes. Then push a strong support rod through the holes and tip each pot in a different direction, standing them on the edges of the pot beneath for a fun, tipsy effect. Fill with soil and your choice of Wave petunias for Spring and Summer or Cool Wave® pansies for early Spring and Fall.

3) Upcycled Shoe Organizer
There are so many items in your home that can be upcycled to create a unique and inspiring planter! A shower caddy, a fruit stand, a rain boot… the possibilities are endless! This shoe organizer creates an inspiring display of color. Select one color, your favorite color theme, or go for a variety of different colors.

4) Car Tire Planters
When tires are no longer functional on your car, you can give them new life in the garden by painting them in a bold pastel colors that coordinate with your Wave petunias in a variety of bold colors. We recommend that you plant the petunias in a planter and place it in the center of the tire lying flat in your garden. Arrange several in a line for a neat edging for your driveway or walkway.

5) Pansy Pumpkin
The perfect Fall planter combines the bright orange fun of a Halloween pumpkin with the vibrant orange, gold, and purple hues of Cool Wave pansies. Start with a sizeable pumpkin, 8 lbs. or larger will do. Cut a hole in the top, removing the stem and some of the rim. Remove the seeds and insides of the pumpkin, scraping down to the firm flesh. We recommend planting your Cool Wave pansies in a smaller pot that will fit inside the pumpkin, but tall enough to reach the top of the hole. Use another pot turned upside down underneath the planter pot for added height. Fill in the around the planter with plastic grocery bags to stabilize it. Just note this pumpkin is a natural holder and will only last about a month, so starting in late Sept. or early Oct. will give the best performance.
