DIY: Halloween Décor with Wave Pansies

Dressing up your planters and flower pots for Halloween is easy when you have Wave® Pansies. With a little imagination, a few crafty materials and a little helper or two, you’re on your way to some not-so-spooky but really fun outdoor décor!

This DIY floral craft is perfect for all ages from grandkids to adults and anyone in between. Enjoy this creative way to use pansies when the weather starts changing but you still want to get decorating with outside flower arrangements. Follow these super simple instructions for Halloween porch decorations that effectively display your favorite cool weather flowers. You can even say it’s a Halloween garden theme right on your front doorstep. Fall gardening with Wave Pansies is as easy as these three DIY projects!

Candy Corn Planter (video)

Step 1. Find a terracotta flower pot or a plastic container in a similar color.

Step 2. Paint the bottom portion white.

Step 3. Leave the middle part of the part as is. Do not paint.

Step 4. Paint the top yellow.

Step 5. Wait a couple of hours until completely dry. Add in your soil and Wave Pansies in your favorite color. Top Wave™ in Purple Sunburst is shown here. And there you have it. A super easy Candy Corn Planter!

Googly Eye Planter (video)

Step 1. Find a black-colored flower pot or planter.

Step 2. Glue the googly eyes all around the top. (You can use different sizes of googly eyes for a cool, creepy-looking effect.)

Step 3. Wait an hour until all the eyes are completely dry. Add in your soil and Wave Pansies in your favorite color. Top Wave™ in Marina is shown here. It’s just that easy. A kid-friendly Googly Eye Planter!

Drip Paint Planter (video)

Step 1. Find a black-colored flower pot or planter.

Step 2. Turn the pot over so it’s upside down.

Step 3. Use acrylic paint in white and orange. Squeeze the paint all around, going along the outer edge of the container.

Step 4. Keep layering the paint until the desired thickness. Paint will be drippy.

Step 5. Tap the container to help slide the paint downwards.

Step 6. Wait two hours for the paint to dry. Add in your soil and Wave Pansies in your favorite color. Top Wave™ in Rose Blotch is shown here. You can do two or three for a really cool effect with different colors for Drip Paint Planters!
