Watch the Webinar New Plants for 2026
Sarah Makiejus  Wave Brand Manager

Each year, our plant experts are panelists on a free webinar for The Dallas Garden School with host Callie Works-Leary. She's an amazing regional garden specialist who keeps her audience inspired with colorful ways to enjoy the outdoors. From harvesting vegetables to growing cutting gardens, Callie is always connecting gardeners to trends, tips and tricks.

On Feb. 13, my friends Steven and Katie joined their colleague Maria to present "New Plants & Garden Trends for 2026" to a wide audience online. It was a fantastic discussion of the latest genetics, sneak-peeks at future flowers, and all-around excitement for the spring season. Some of the trends they discussed:

Keeping It Classy with the 2026 PANTONE Color of the Year: Cloud Dancer. Placing crisp white blooms in your garden are a great way to divide spaces or create a blank canvas against other colors. And you can't beat a classic White-and-Green color scheme for an elegant look!

Gardning With a (Multi) Purpose by choosing plants that do more than just look pretty. They thrive longer into the season giving you better color, or they can be cut and brought inside for homemade bouquets and bud vases. Make your garden work for you!

Garden Anywhere by choosing right-sized plants for outdoor moments that are tight on space. (Like our Shock Wave Petunias, which have petite-sized blooms that nevery overpower your baskets but make a colorful spectacle!)

Time to Unwind by taking a moment to appreciate all of the benefits gardening has for our mind, body and spirit. Our Easy Wave Petunias are versatile for any sunny space and, because they come in so many color options, can customize your gardenscape with a hue that speaks to you. Flowers that offer chromatherapy or other wellness opportunities are a MUST for your 2026 gardens.
