Did you know?

If you follow these 4 Simple Tips for flourishing petunias, you’ll be a Wave Petunia pro gardener in no time!
1. Plant in Full Sun (that means at least 6 hours in full sun).

2. Consistent Watering (do not let your petunias dry out between waterings, please and thank you!).

3. Trimming Back (once or twice is even better – trimming your Wave Petunias when they’re leggy and overgrown pushes fresh growth. By doing so, you’ll get more flowers along new branches.)

4. FERTILIZER! (a boost of liquid fertilizer will result in happy, thriving and energized Wave Petunias. Feed them once a week and follow the recommended dosage on the label).

More from Wave...
It’s time to start planting your Wave® Petunias. We’re here to help our fellow gardeners and Wave fans get a kickstart on how to give your Wave Petunias the perfect conditions to really make them flourish wherever you plant them. Get ready for an amazing season of spreading color from your favorite flowers!
1. Full Sun – Let’s get this one out of the way. “Full Sun” means at least 6 hours of sun. Wave Petunias are sun lovers! Plant them in a sunny spot in your garden, in containers, in hanging baskets or window boxes, just as long as they’re getting that allotted time if not more of full sun. Your Waves will thank you, and you’ll see what a bit of sun can do for your petunias all season long. They need the warmth and energy to grow their best.
2. Consistent Watering – Get out the hose, fill up your watering cans, and if you have a water collection barrel even better. But be sure to water your Wave Petunias consistently. Don’t let them dry out. It’s important to plant them in well-drained soil and containers, which may dry out faster than in-ground garden beds. Tip: water your plants in the morning so the foliage dries by the evening. Which leads us to our next tip…
3. Fertilize, Fertilize, Fertilize – A regular routine of liquid fertilizer (10 to 14 days) for your Wave Petunias will help keep your plants fed and flourishing. Keeping a fertilizing schedule is a great way to keep your flowers spreading and branching while providing the necessary nutrients for them to really bloom and grow in a variety of colors.
4. Trimming Back – Give your Wave Petunias a trim once or twice throughout the season. You might start to notice your petunias getting overgrown or leggy with each passing summer’s day. But there’s a quick solution that every gardener should know when planting petunias. Cut them back and give them a haircut! Really, it’s that simple. By doing so, you’ll get new growth and bigger blooms on each new branch.
